Not particularly in a hurry...but ready nevertheless! Life keeps comin' at us fast and furious....and I never know what's "just around the corner!" Keeping my eyes on Jesus....and it will be well...with my soul!

I have a new "Granddog!" Athena has come to stay with my daughter for a trial run at living with her....She is the most gorgeous BIG German Shepherd ! She's been with us 2 days and has settled in quite well - quiet and gentle thus far.
Hey, Karin, Hey, I have a granddog, too! Mine is a border collie who was Chris and Cam's first "baby" before Conner came along. He greets me at the front door with a flying leap, landing with both paws on my shoulder, kind of like your granddog was doing with Valerie. (I didn't visit for several months after both knee surgeries!lol) He is named "Dylan" after Bob Dylan, and we call him "D". All week D has been a little antsy with the new baby. I was holding Conner and D kept bringing me his raggedy squeaky starfish and then whining at me. They say Border collies have the mentality of a 5 year old child. Dylan definitely acts like a 5 year old with a new baby brother! He's also very protective. The minute Conner makes a "peep", Dylan is right there checking on him and looking at me expectantly! I'm usually a toy poodle kind of person, but I love Dylan. He won my heart when he was my grandpuppy, and now I'm glad my grandson will grow up with such a sweet friend. Your grandog is a beautiful German Shepard, and your grandson is a real cutie, too. Keep on blogging, Grandma--we have lots to share! :)
